Borders League Race 1 - Caernarfon 1st October 2023

The Deeside team were out in force at the first Borders League fixture of the season in Caernarfon.
On the accurately measured 10k course, there were an abundance of notable performances. None
more so, than Emily Haggard Kearney who was first female over the line, breaking a Borders League
female record with her placing of 12 th overall! Strong runs from the rest of the ladies division 1 team
resulted in a first place position on the day.
The males division 2 team delivered some great performances securing 3 rd place on the day, ahead
of Eryri Harriers, with a brilliant performance from Steve Hayes finishing in the top 20 overall.
Well Done to all the athletes who competed and a big Thank you as always to the coaches, family
and friends for the ongoing support at these events.
